Poem "Sterile thoughts"

Sterile thoughts

Frozen tomb-
Burning cold thoughts
Cut off from everyone
Death- the price for what is sought.

Erotic, fertile thoughts-
Filled his dying mind
And at last the peace
Is what he will find

Inscrutable mumblings
Dead man’s song
And weak men strong

Nemesis-
At my back
With nocturnal creatures
on the attack

Lithe satyr
With sharp toothed grins
Plague my journeys
Its time to begin

Labyrinth like passages
Cannibal screams
Distress
These are what fill my dreams

Sterile thoughts
And things untold
Appease the spirit’s
Encroaching hold

Tonight-
I saw death
By fire light
With in the greenwood

Strange men
Dressed in dragon bone

Images-
That would make your skin crawl
And grab your breath
Like a ravens claw

I saw this-
The death of king and kingdoms
And from where
Did all the blood come

Rivers ran red
With the spoils of your battle
And dragons perched
Atop the castle

When my friend
With this end
The pain and such
My friend sat in silence
Said he nothing yet much
